Now I'm not making any promises, but I do seem to get lucky when it comes to great weather for my engagement shoots! With my Spring and Summer weekends filled with weddings, I encourage couples to have their pre-wedding photos taken in late Autumn and Winter. Yes, you have to dress up warmly, but we're so often rewarded with gorgeous winter sunlight and, being on the Sussex coast, beautiful empty beaches.
Helen and Ian were certainly up for the challenge. They're getting married this Summer in the historic Worthing Dome, with its lovely art deco architecture and views to the sea. I photographed Ayse and Vas' energetic Greek-themed wedding there back in May, and while the wind howled, the views of choppy waves provided the perfect backdrop to their day. So I'm very much looking forward to returning - not least because Helen and Ian are such a lovely, kind couple, so obviously madly in love, and with a wicked sense of humour. We clicked from our very first meeting and on their shoot, I simply told them just to be themselves, and then set about capturing their personalities and love for each other. Hove's colourful beach huts provided the perfect backdrop for Helen's red coat, and the couple's laughter was infectious and stayed with me long after the shoot. I think you'll see why....
If Helen and Ian's happy shoot brought a smile to your face, I'd love to know! Want more info on Weddings? Just click here!
