I was drawn to Shelley and Kathryn the moment I met them. They both have the kind of infectious personality that leaves you feeling happy. So when I found out that their wedding guest list numbered some 150 friends and family from all corners of the globe, I wasn't surprised. And when they phoned several weeks later to ask if I'd be available to photograph their nuptials, I positively jumped with joy!
The girls were fully up for a fun pre-wedding shoot, and became excited about the possibility of photographing in a place special to them - Seaford Beach. Even so, with their beyond-busy schedules, coupled with a few last minute glitches, the shoot still hadn't happened eight months' later. Finally, with less than a month to go before the big day, we managed to get it together and spent an hour or so together - starting at Brighton's West Pier for a tongue-firmly-in-cheek mock proposal, and ending up at the colourful beach huts and weather-worn cliffs of Seaford Beach.
As I write, there's less than one week to go before their Pangdean Barn wedding - I absolutely can't wait, and know they'll be times when I'm doubled up with laughter so much I'll have to put the camera down (don't worry girls - just for a second or two!). I think you'll see what I mean when you scroll through this little selection from our shoot...
And onto our next destination... Seaford Beach!
This time next week I'll be capturing more laughter (and the serious stuff too) at Kathryn and Shelley's Pangdean Barn Wedding. Bring it on!
