I remember really clearly first meeting Tuesday and Joe - it was at a Belles Events Wedding Fair on Valentines Day at The Dome in Worthing. Tuesday's (then) ten year old son was with them, and I remember commenting on their striking blue eyes. We talked about their Arundel Town Hall wedding, which was to be an April ceremony for about 40 guests, with drinks and canapes on the roof terrace, followed by a marquee reception at The Fox Inn, Patching. With six children between them, it was to be a relaxed, family-centered day, and they wanted equally relaxed, no-pressure photography to capture it.
The family were so personable and friendly, I knew straight away that we'd be a great match. Joe and Tuesday have a wicked sense of humour, and on the day, we spent a great deal of time laughing! In fact, the image (you'll see it below) of the couple laughing so hard as they exchanged rings is one of my favourite candid photos of the entire wedding season! The light was beautiful inside the Atherley Chamber room, and happily the April rains stayed away, so after the ceremony I had a great time capturing guests on the roof terrace before heading off around Arundel for some relaxed couple photos.
We started at the Arundel Castle gates, then headed down to Blackfriars Ruins and gardens beside the river Arun. Dating back to the 13th Century, the ruins made a lovely backdrop for their photos, which I wanted to keep casual and with minimal direction, in keeping with their wishes. What really made the photos special, however, was the couple's fun-loving personalities, and I'll never forget Tuesday's hilarious seagull impression when one particularly bold bird landed on the river wall right in front of my lens.
Jenny was our wedding photographer back in April 2017, she was amazing! We were so relaxed. Me and my wife were so happy with how our photos turned out. Jenny helped make our day special and is so talented. We spent hours laughing with her which I'm sure helped to capture the great shots.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jenny Rutterford. Keep up the good work Jenny! xx
Tuesday & Joe
On arrival at The Fox Inn, Patching, the younger children were playing on the climbing frame, and I had great fun capturing them in action - by far the best way to get great photos of kids. Guests enjoyed a BBQ and party into the evening, but my day finished with the speeches and cake-cutting - cue Joe's wit and (of course) plenty more laughter! Here's how I captured their wonderfully happy day:
If those images made you smile, please get in touch! I'd love to hear about your wedding plans.
