Welcome to my wedding stories blog!

I tell wedding stories. From the bridal preparations in the morning, to partying in the evening.  If you're looking for a  super relaxed documentary photographer to tell the story of your special day, please grab a cuppa and have a browse.

I recommend starting with my Best of 2022 wedding storytelling video for inspiration and to get a good feel for my style.

The quality of my work is recognised by the prestigious Master Photographers Association (MPA), with whom I'm a fully qualified Licentiate, as well as by key world-leading industry organisations representing documentary photographers.  I'm proud to have received multiple awards from the MPA, This is Reportage; Photographers Keeping it Real; and The Wedding Photojournalist Association, including a Top 100 Global Ranking from the WPJA.

But the most important recognition comes from my clients, whose wonderful feedback you can read here.  Please take a look at some of my recent work and do get in touch - I'd love to hear from you.

Lusty Glaze Beach Wedding | Jane & Dave

Hello and welcome to my Blog! As I write, the world is in lockdown from the Coronavirus pandemic and weddings are well and truly off the agenda for the next few weeks at least. I'm happy to say that all of my Spring 2020 couples have managed to reschedule with their venues, and most have chosen new dates that I'm still available for. But I have to...

Gildings Barns Wedding | Emma & Dan

Rain on your wedding day? Not something most couples have on their wish list, but it doesn't have to be a negative! Social media has a lot to answer for when it comes to our vision of how a wedding should look. Occasionally (not often I'm pleased to say!) I'm sent Pinterest boards filled with sun-drenched images of barefoot brides - usually on the...

Want to know what I got up to in 2019? Just hit PLAY for a two minute summary! That was 2019. Quite possibly my best year yet. I am a visual story-telling wedding photographer. I capture moments. TWIA 2020 | Wedding Photographer of the Year Regional Finalist!

It's been an amazing wedding season for me so far, full of awesome couples, fantastic venues and a great deal of laughter. Of course, running a wedding photography business is also a lot of hard work - contrary to what some people might think, there's a lot more to it than showing up on the big day with a camera and a smile on your face. But my cli...

Art Deco Worthing Dome Wedding | Katy + Raj

Sussex is spoilt for choice when it comes to stunning wedding venues and attracts plenty of London-based couples looking for something different. The short drive south is more than compensated for by the beauty of the South Downs and the sea views, not to mention ease of parking and affordable accommodation options for guests. I've photographed the...

Church & Marquee Wedding in Dunsfold, Surrey | Emma + Alex

I was recently asked if I photographed marquee weddings, and when looking for a ready-made blog post to send to my prospective couple, realised I haven't actually blogged one since Emily and Carl's fab wedding from 2016. I am generally invited once or twice a year to capture a traditional church ceremony followed by a marquee wedding reception at a...

Lusty Glaze Beach Wedding | Danielle + Vikki

Lusty Glaze Beach in Cornwall has to be one of my absolute favourite venues to travel to. Even through I'm based in Sussex, I've had the good fortune to capture three weddings on Lusty Glaze Beach in the past couple of years. Today I'm blogging my first Lusty Glaze wedding of 2018, that of the lovely Danielle and Vikki who became Wife & Wife in May...

Long Furlong Barn Wedding | Adele + Glyn

The first time I photographed a wedding at Long Furlong Barn was in 2014, shortly after its launch as a wedding venue. I was blown away by the picturesque grounds and stunning views across the South Downs, complete with grazing sheep and, on that occasion at least, a perfect sunset. I've since returned many times for weddings at all times of the ye...

Michelham Priory Wedding | Hannah + Ben

It's always a real pleasure to be invited back by a family to photograph the sister of one of your former brides getting married. Capturing a wedding from bridal preparation through to the dancefloor - not to mention the pre-wedding shoot and viewing of the wedding images afterwards - means that I spend a lot of time with couples and their families...

Today I am excited to blog Natalie and Katherine's super-chilled Summer wedding at Bracklesham Barn in East Wittering. This lovely couple live literally just down the road from me, and when we first met to discuss their day, we hit it off immediately! They shared their plans for an outdoor picnic kind of a day, and showed me photos of their gorgeou...
